FC 27 Fans Can't Agree if the 500K Heritage Pass Is Worth It
Published 2026-10-26 · DB.Coins Blog
Season 2 of FC 27 landed in Ultimate Team on 22 October 2026 and runs through to 3 December, and the loudest argument in the community right now is not about the cards in it — it is about the price tag on the premium track.
The FC Heritage premium pass costs 500,000 coins or 1,000 FC Points, and it comes bundled free with the Ultimate Plus Edition. Half a million coins is a serious chunk of most Indian players' clubs this early in the cycle, so the "is it worth it" threads have been going hard all week.
What you're actually paying for
One detail that keeps getting repeated in discussions: buying premium does not speed up your progress. Both tracks share the same Season Points bar, so you grind exactly as much either way — you just unlock a second column of rewards.
| Level | Standard (free) | Premium |
| 15 | Heritage items on track | Four Heritage items banked by here |
| 27 | Evolutions slots | 2x 85+, 4x 84+, 10x 83+, 15x 82+ player packs |
| 30 | Saint-Maximin | Rashford + guaranteed 86+ Gold Player Pack |
Across both ladders EA has advertised up to 16 FC Heritage player items, with the premium side carrying roughly eight of the extras.
The case against: "Rashford isn't 500K better"
The sceptics have the simpler argument. Several analysts who have broken the Level 30 item down point out that the Heritage Rashford gains only a point or two in a handful of face stats over his regular gold card. Players on Reddit and X are making the same point more bluntly: if the headline reward of a paid track is a card you would not start, the track is decoration.
The follow-on argument is opportunity cost. 500,000 coins buys a genuinely meta attacker on the market today, with no grind attached and no six-week wait. Multiple outlets reviewing the pass have landed on a flat "skip it" for exactly that reason.
The case for: 31 tradeable packs
The other camp isn't defending Rashford at all — they're doing pack maths. The Level 27 premium reward is 31 player packs (2x 85+, 4x 84+, 10x 83+, 15x 82+), and crucially those packs are tradeable on the premium track. Open them, list the usable cards, quick-sell the rest, and you claw back a meaningful share of the 500K before you even count the Heritage cards, the extra Evolutions and the bonus SP.
Nobody has published a verified coin figure for that haul, so treat any exact "you make X back" number you see as an estimate rather than fact. The direction of travel is sound, though: pack rewards that can be sold are worth far more than the same packs locked untradeable.
What this means for the market
Two things worth watching if you trade:
- Fodder supply. When a wave of premium owners hits Level 27 together, a lot of 82–85 rated cards enter the market at once. That usually softens SBC fodder prices for a few days — a good window to buy, a bad one to sell.
- Heritage card prices. Sixteen player items spread across a six-week ladder means a steady drip of supply rather than one spike, so expect these cards to drift down slowly instead of crashing.
Our honest take
The split in the community maps almost perfectly onto playing time. If you clear weekly objectives and realistically reach Level 27-plus, the premium track pays for itself in packs and depth. If you get two or three sessions a week in, the free ladder already gives you Saint-Maximin at Level 30 and you should keep your coins for the market.
Either way, the sensible move is to check the pass screen in-game before you commit, and to decide based on where you finished Season 1 — not on the Level 30 card art.
